Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Feed Mandi collects, why, who can see it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. “We”, “us” and “our” mean DCF Digital Solutions, the company that runs Feed Mandi.
In short
- Feed Mandi is run by DCF Digital Solutions. We use your mobile number, name and delivery location to show you sellers near you and to deliver your orders.
- The shop or Feed Mandi warehouse you buy from, and the rider who delivers, see what they need for your order: your name, mobile number, address and map location.
- Payment is cash on delivery, so the apps never ask for card, UPI or bank details. We do not sell your information, and the apps contain no advertising or analytics tools.
- The customer app uses your location only while it is open. Riders share their location while they deliver, and while they are online for jobs.
- You can correct your details in the app, switch off offer notifications, and have your account deleted — from the app or without it.

1.Who we are and what this policy covers
Feed Mandi is operated by DCF Digital Solutions, #2/1112, Sixth Street, Palaiyur Village, Rayakottai Post, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu – 635116, India.
This policy covers:
- the customer app Feed Mandi: Buy Cattle Feed (com.dcf.feedmandi on Google Play), for farmers and other buyers;
- the seller app Sellers: Feed Mandi (com.dcf.feedmandi.seller), for shop owners and their staff, delivery riders (rider mode) and the teams of Feed Mandi hubs (hub tools); and
- this website, feedmandi.com.
Feed Mandi is a marketplace. Shops sell through it, and so do Feed Mandi hubs — the stores shown in the customer app as “Feed Mandi warehouses”. When you order, the seller you buy from receives your order details so that it can fulfil the order. Who can see your information explains exactly what each person sees.
This policy is our notice to you about personal data under India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The rules for using Feed Mandi are in our Terms & Conditions.
2.Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you use Feed Mandi.
If you use the customer app
- Your account: your mobile number, which is how you sign in; your name; and, if you add them, an email address, an alternate phone number and a profile photo.
- Your delivery location: your address, landmark, PIN code, village (picked from the official lists of states, districts, taluks and villages, or typed in) and a map pin for your door. Every order is priced and delivered using this saved pin.
- Your orders: what you buy, quantities, prices and totals, the delivery date and time slot you prefer, any notes, cancellation requests and their reasons, and the payments recorded against your orders.
- Delivery records: each delivery’s status, the rider’s proof-of-delivery photo and, if the rider asks for it, your signature on the rider’s phone. The photo and the signature are both optional.
- Other things you do in the app: wholesale (bulk) enquiries and the quotes you receive, shops you save as favourites, the village you choose for the Village Van, reward points you earn or use, your language, your notifications and your notification settings.
- A deletion request: the reason you choose and any message you write.
If you use the seller app for a shop or a hub
- Your account: your name, your mobile number (your sign-in), your role and, if you add them, an email address and a profile photo.
- Your shop: its name, the owner’s name, seller types, address, village, PIN code and map location, phone, WhatsApp number and email, photos, description, opening hours, delivery area and delivery rules, and its products, prices and stock.
- Running the shop: orders and changes to them, payment receipts, invoices, staff and their roles, delivery and rider-pay settings, rider payouts, usage credits and charges, money settled with Feed Mandi hubs, reports, support requests and deletion requests.
- People you add: details you enter about other people — your staff and riders (name, mobile number, vehicle), your Internal Parties (name, mobile number, address and notes), buyers of counter sales and, for hubs, Village Van drivers (name, phone and vehicle number) and van buyers. Add someone only if they know you are doing it.
If you deliver orders (rider mode)
- Your rider profile: your name, mobile number, vehicle type and number, and whether you are Online, on a break or Offline.
- Your location: collected while one of your deliveries or Village Van trips is running, and while you are Online with the rider screen open — Location explains how.
- Your work: your deliveries, the amounts you collect and how they were paid (cash, UPI with its transaction reference, or cheque), the proof photos and signatures you capture, cash you hand over, disputes and any photos you add as evidence, and your delivery pay and the payouts recorded for you.
- Work done without signal: your delivery updates wait on your phone and are sent when you are back online.
Information other people give us about you
Sometimes a customer account is created for you by someone else:
- our office team can create one with your mobile number and name when they book an order for you; and
- a shop can save you as one of its Internal Parties. When it books your first order, a Feed Mandi customer account is created for that mobile number in your name.
You can sign in with that mobile number at any time to see the account and its orders, correct your details or have the account deleted.
Information from your phone
- For notifications: a notification token for each phone you sign in on.
- Crash reports: if an app crashes, technical details of the error together with the app version, phone model and Android version. We do not attach your name or mobile number to crash reports.
- Kept on your phone: your sign-in is stored in Android’s secure storage, and your cart, your language and a copy of the catalogue are saved so the app opens quickly. The apps’ data is not included in Android’s cloud backup.
What we do not collect
The apps never ask for card numbers, UPI IDs, bank account details, Aadhaar, PAN, GSTIN or your date of birth, and they do not read your contacts, SMS messages or microphone. What the website collects is explained under This website.
3.How we use your information
We use your information to:
- sign you in with a one-time code sent to your mobile number, and keep your account secure;
- show you the shops and Feed Mandi warehouses that deliver to your location, with their products, prices and delivery charges;
- work out your order total — each seller’s delivery charges, minimum orders and distance discounts depend on your distance and the number of bags;
- pass your order to the seller, and confirm, pack, deliver and track it, including live tracking and proof of delivery;
- send you notifications about your orders, deliveries, Village Van visits, quotes and rewards — and offers from Feed Mandi warehouses near you, unless you switch them off;
- help shops and hubs run their business: orders, invoices, payment receipts, staff, riders, delivery, rider pay, usage credits, reports and support;
- offer riders the nearest jobs, guide them to the customer, and record what they collect and what they are owed;
- run the rewards programmes and promotions that apply to an order;
- answer questions, complaints and deletion requests;
- prevent fraud and misuse, keep the apps working and fix crashes;
- keep the records that tax, accounting and other laws require, and respond to lawful requests; and
- prepare sales and delivery reports, including totals by state, district and taluk.
Apart from those offer notifications, which you can switch off, we do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
4.Your consent and our legal basis
We process personal data under India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. When you create an account and use Feed Mandi, you consent to the uses described in this policy. Where the law allows it, we also process data without consent — for example, to keep the tax and accounting records the law requires, or to comply with a court or government order.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by having your account deleted (see Deleting your account) or by writing to us. Withdrawing does not undo what was done before, and records the law requires us to keep are still kept. Without your mobile number, name and delivery location we cannot take or deliver orders.
5.Who can see your information
Feed Mandi connects buyers, shops, riders and Feed Mandi hubs, so some information is shared between them:
- Anyone, even without signing in: a shop’s name, the owner’s name, its address, map location, photos, products and prices (but not exact stock), and Village Van schedules, including the driver’s name and the van’s number. A shop’s phone, WhatsApp number and email are shown only to people who are signed in.
- The shop or Feed Mandi hub you buy from, and its staff: your name, mobile number, delivery address and map pin on the orders you place with them. Their customer list shows the people who have ordered from that shop, with their name, mobile number and address. Notifications about your order sent to the shop and its riders include your name and village.
- A Feed Mandi hub that delivers a shop’s order: that order and the delivery details it needs, once the shop has confirmed the order.
- The rider who delivers your order: your name, mobile number, full address, landmark, PIN code and map pin. The rider can correct the map pin of your door while delivering to you; every correction is recorded.
- You, as a customer: the name and phone number of the rider carrying your order, the rider’s live position during the delivery, and the proof-of-delivery photo.
- The shop or hub a rider delivers for: the rider’s name, mobile number and vehicle, whether the rider is online, the rider’s position during its deliveries, and the latest position the rider’s app sent while online.
- Wholesale sellers: your name, mobile number, village and place when you send them a bulk enquiry.
- Customers who choose a village for the Village Van: the driver’s phone number and the van’s live position while a trip to that village is running.
- Our operations team at DCF Digital Solutions: everything above, plus email addresses, alternate phone numbers, records of changes and reports, so that we can run and support Feed Mandi.
When an account is deleted, other people see its name as “Deleted Customer”, “Deleted Seller” or “Deleted user”, and can no longer contact it from the apps.
6.Location
- Customers: the customer app uses your location only while it is open, one reading at a time, and never in the background. If you are signed in and have no saved delivery location, the app saves one GPS reading as your delivery pin. You can change the pin at any time, or set it by searching for a place or tapping the map instead.
- Browsing without signing in: the app asks for your location once per session to show what is near you. It is sent with your browsing requests but is not saved to any account.
- Offers near you: your saved pin — or, without one, your district — decides which Feed Mandi warehouses’ offer notifications reach you, unless you switch them off.
- Riders during a job: while a delivery you have accepted is running (assigned, picked up, in transit or arrived), or a Village Van trip you drive is running, the seller app shares your location, also when the screen is locked. A notification stays on screen the whole time, with a Stop sharing button. The customer of that order, the shop or hub running the delivery and our operations team can see your position. The points recorded along the way are kept with that delivery’s record.
- Riders while online: when you are Online and the rider screen is open, the app also sends your position about every 90 seconds, so that we can offer you the nearest jobs and show distances. We keep only your latest position on your rider profile, and the next one replaces it. The shop or hub you deliver for, and our operations team, can access it to assign deliveries.
- Village Van: only the van’s latest position is kept. It is shown to customers who chose a village on the trip, while the trip is running.
- Route planning: to work out road distances and routes, we send pairs of map coordinates — never names or phone numbers — to a routing server we run ourselves.
You control location permission in your phone’s settings. Without it, customers can still set a delivery location by searching or tapping the map, but riders cannot share their live location, so live tracking does not work.
7.Photos, signatures and other files
Photos and files added in the apps are kept by our storage provider (see Service providers). They include profile photos, shop and product photos, banners, proof-of-delivery photos, customers’ signatures and photos added as evidence in cash disputes.
These files are not private
Each file is reached through a long, random web link. The apps show a link only to the people who need it, but anyone who has the link can open the file without signing in. Shop and product photos are public on purpose.
Proof-of-delivery photos, signatures and dispute evidence stay with the delivery or settlement record, also after an account is deleted. A profile photo is deleted from storage when you replace it or your account is deleted, and a deleted shop’s photos are removed.
8.Service providers, and where your data is stored
We use these providers to run Feed Mandi. Each receives only what its service needs:
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers push notifications. It receives your phone’s notification token and the text of each notification, which can include names, villages and amounts.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports from both apps. It is built into the apps and cannot be switched off in their settings.
- Google Maps Platform shows the maps in both apps. In the customer app, Google’s place search finds the places you type, using your location as a hint so that nearby places come first.
- The Android geocoder, a Google service on most phones, turns a map position into an address and back.
- DigitalOcean Spaces stores photos and files and delivers them to the apps. Files may be stored outside India, for example in Singapore.
- A database hosting provider stores the Feed Mandi database, and hosting and network providers run our servers and carry traffic between the apps and our servers.
- An SMS service provider sends one-time sign-in codes to your mobile number.
- Servers we run ourselves plan delivery routes and pass riders’ live locations to the people following a delivery.
Some of these providers may store or process data outside India.
When you choose to, the apps also hand you over to other apps: your phone’s dialler for calls, WhatsApp for messages and shares, and Google Maps for directions. What you share there is covered by those services’ own policies.
We do not use advertising or analytics services. No payment service is involved, because Feed Mandi takes no online payments.
9.Other sharing — we do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Apart from the sharing described above, we share it only:
- when the law, a court or a government authority requires it;
- to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Feed Mandi — for example, to prevent fraud;
- with a new operator if Feed Mandi is reorganised, merged or sold, who must then protect it as this policy describes; or
- with your consent.
10.How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect your information:
- traffic between the apps and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS);
- you sign in with a one-time code that expires after a few minutes, and repeated attempts are limited;
- access is limited by role, and every request about an order is checked against who is asking; and
- your sign-in is kept in Android’s secure storage, and the apps’ data is left out of Android’s cloud backup.
No way of storing or sending data is completely secure. Remember that photos and signatures can be opened by anyone who has their link (see Photos, signatures and other files), and never share your one-time code with anyone. If a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
11.How long we keep your information
- While your account is open, we keep your profile, saved location, orders, notifications and settings so that the apps work for you.
- Business records — orders, invoices, payments and receipts, deliveries with their proof photos, signatures and recorded locations, cash, settlement, pay and usage-credit records, and records of changes — are kept for accounting, tax and legal purposes and to settle disputes, for as long as the law requires. They are kept after an account is deleted, without the deleted person’s name and contact details except as Deleting your account explains.
- A deletion request: the message you write is erased when the deletion is completed; the reason you chose is kept, so that we can see why people leave.
- The website stores no personal information. The basic visit records its host may keep are described under This website.
12.Deleting your account
You can have your account and personal data deleted at any time, from the app or without it. Our Delete your account page explains every step.
- Customer app: open Account, tap Delete account, choose a reason, add a message if you like and send the request. Your account is disabled straight away while our team reviews the request, and orders you have already placed are still completed. You can cancel the request until it is done. If we decline it, we tell you why and your account works again.
- Seller app: owners, managers and staff — at a shop or a Feed Mandi hub — open More and tap Delete account; shop riders open More, then Edit Profile, and tap Delete my account. Your seller account is paused at once while we review the request, and you can cancel it until it is approved. The last owner of a shop first asks us to delete the shop, which is a separate request.
- Feed Mandi’s own riders, and anyone without the app: use the form on the Delete your account page, or contact us. We confirm the request with the mobile number registered on the account before we act.
Anything still open is settled first: for a customer, an order still in progress, a delivered order not yet paid for, a refund owed or money on the account; for a seller-app account, orders or deliveries assigned to you, cash you are holding and rider pay owed. A shop is deleted only once its usage-credit balance is settled. Once nothing is left open, we complete the request within 30 days.
What deletion removes
- For a customer: your name (replaced with “Deleted Customer”), mobile number, email, address, landmark, PIN code, village, map pin, alternate phone number, profile photo and Village Van village; the delivery address, map pin and notes on your past orders; your name on delivery-route stops and van-sale receipts; your notes on bulk enquiries; your saved shops, notifications and notification settings; and your sign-in on every phone.
- For a seller-app account: your name (replaced with “Deleted user”), mobile number, email, profile photo, last location, vehicle details and permissions, your name and number on Village Van schedules, your number, email or name wherever a shop showed them as its contact details, and your sign-in on every phone.
What we keep
We keep orders, invoices, payments and receipts, deliveries with their proof photos, signatures and recorded locations, and your reward points record — the points can no longer be used. We also keep the state, district and taluk you lived in, for sales totals. For a seller-app account, names already printed on cash receipts and delivery routes, and support requests you raised, stay as they are.
13.Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, how we use it and who we have shared it with;
- correct, complete or update it — you can change most of your details yourself in the app;
- erase it, except what the law requires us to keep (see Deleting your account);
- withdraw your consent (see Your consent and our legal basis);
- let a person you nominate exercise these rights for you if you die or can no longer do so yourself; and
- resolve a complaint about how we handled your data.
To make a request, contact our Grievance Officer. We may confirm the request with your registered mobile number first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Choices in the apps
- Offer notifications: “Offers & flash sales” notifications are switched on when you start using the customer app. To switch them off, open Account, then Notifications, tap the settings icon at the top of the screen to open Notification settings, and turn off “Offers & flash sales”. Updates about your orders and deliveries are always sent.
- Seller app notifications: More, then Notification Settings, lets you choose which alerts reach your phone.
- Permissions: you can allow or refuse location and notifications in your phone’s settings. The apps open your photo gallery or camera only when you choose to add a photo.
- Your profile: you can view and change your name, contact details and delivery location in the app at any time.
14.Children
Feed Mandi is meant for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
15.This website
feedmandi.com does not ask you to sign in. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or other third-party scripts; its fonts and images are served from the site itself.
The contact and account-deletion forms send nothing to us by themselves. They open your own email app or WhatsApp with your message filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send there, and nothing is stored on the website. When you do send it, we receive what you wrote, with your email address or WhatsApp number.
Like any website, the servers that host feedmandi.com may record basic technical details of each visit — such as the IP address, browser, page and time — to keep the site secure and working.
If we ever add cookies or analytics, we will update this policy first.
16.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Feed Mandi or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will tell you in the apps about significant changes.
